QUARANTINED VS. QUALITY TIME OUT

In these crazy times it’s so very easy to let our thoughts run wild with negativity and fear. During this time however, even though it can be very difficult, we can and must choose to feed our thoughts with positivity and hope.

I choose to replace quarantined with QUALITY TIME OUT. Yes it’s hard, but we all have choices. I choose to not whine or wallow in a negative mindset knowing that there is always someone out there who is worse off than I am. 

It’s a hard season but it’s the best time to plant healthy seeds of positivity and growth, of gratitude and hope. So I JOURNAL every morning, five quick things I am grateful for, be they small things like a sunny day or big things like the health and safety of my family and friends. I choose GRATITUDE. And then I take ten minutes to clear the negative, fearful, noisy confusion in my head by dumping it all out in my journal freeing up space for some healthier thoughts and decisions creating a better ATTITUDE for my day. A better attitude helps me to FOCUS on what I can control. No I cannot control this pandemic but I can control my actions and reactions through my mindset and healthy choices.

I choose to use positive affirmations to create a happier mindset, to get in some daily physical activity, to drink lots of water, to eat healthy, to give back, support and connect to my community, and to stay connected to my family and friends through technology or yes, even snail mail.

I choose to have a mindset that believes that time passes and so will all the craziness that is happening around me right now. I choose to see the good in this season of chaos. I choose positivity and hope and so can you.

I choose QUALITY TIME OUT.

YES. YOU CAN.
